Joni Kabana is an international visual artist who started on her journey of understanding the emotive value of a still photograph when she first picked up a camera at the age of eight. She loved talking her cousins into being her subjects so she could photograph them with her treasured Polaroid camera.
Her corporate background in technical program management enables her to devote the business acumen necessary for each assignment, while collaborating with clients to create compelling imagery and concepts. Joni welcomes each assignment, big or small, with energy and gusto.
Joni appreciates the success she has found with her love for photography and gives back to the community by balancing her creative commercial work with humanitarian non-profit projects. Her recent work with Mercy Corps in India and Nepal garnered the American Society of Media Photographer’s "Best of" designation. By commissioning Joni, you are enabling her to share her gifts to underserved communities.
In addition to her award winning evocative visual skills, Joni is a published author and news article writer, and can develop copy for assignments. Joni is available for consultation, lectures, workshops and classroom teaching in addition to commercial advertisement and personal assignments.
Limited edition signed prints of her work are available upon request.
